Hollywood industry is a tough place for navigating the transition from childhood to adulthood. Generally, child stars are awkward, dorky little ragamuffins. Yet for being a successful adult star, they need to appear as if Michelangelo has sculpted them. Thus, the transition from child to adult actors was a roller coaster ride for many. Child stars do get an awful rap. But we also cannot deny the fact that a couple of them have succeeded in avoiding the stereotypical fate (reality TV, nervous breakdown, drugs) and have managed in carving lives for themselves that is pretty inspiring. These little kids began as stars who entertained us both on the big and small screen as the quirky, nerdy or homely kid. The transition from the child to the adulthood is not a bed of roses for all, especially when it comes to child stars. On the one hand, few moved off the rails during the process while there are others who reached adulthood with composure and grace.
