The field of entertainment is filled with A-list celebrities that have discovered their stock crashing down post engaging in some embarrassing downward spirals intentionally or unintentionally. More than merely a sole faux pas, the renowned celebrities have gradually destroyed their reputation and fame via a series of badly timed and ill-advised disasters. Although there is an endless list of celebrities who damaged their reputation, five of these include:
Boy George:
The singing career of lead singer of the Culture Club, Boy George came to a standstill when the singer fell out with Jon Moss, his ladylove and a co-member of his band resulting him in sliding in a life of the heroine binges. Since then George has been in as well as out of trouble while his occupation as a DJ remained successful and his reputation tarnished adequately for preventing him from ever recurring to the idol eminence of the earlier days of this group.
Tom Cruise:
The star of countless blockbuster movies lost his credibility when he publicly started campaigning for Church of Scientology. The embarrassing behaviour of Cruise on an episode in Oprah solidified his repute as an idiot. Recently he was involved in a big controversy over CoS removing one of his videos from the internet that has resulted to a cracking team for attacking the organization.
George Michael:
Gaining ample recognition for his band Wham, Michael established a solo career later. Until April 7, in the year 1998 when he had been arrested on the grounds of engaging in a vulgar act inside a public toilet in California’s Beverly Hills, his sexuality was kept a secret. Besides, he was also into drugs and in the year 2006 he had been arrested for taking Class C drugs and being involved in drug associated traffic incidents that ultimately led to the loss of his licence and community service temporarily.
Britney Spears:
The renowned pop singing sensation Britney Spears destroyed all credibility as she began appearing with Paris Hilton in public. Numerous times, she has been captured on camera in different states of drunkenness or undress. Spears has also been in rehab centers, many a times.
Michael Jackson:
King of Pop, Michael Jackson damaged his reputation seriously post declaring on National Television about sharing his bed with a couple of young boys. Already been arrested for molestation charges, he had ever since been harassed by the media.
